On 17th and 18th of this month April 2010 Zamaleo Sigana Storytellers welcome you to the latest edition of Sigana Fireside Tales storytelling performance series. We will pitch our warm hearth-place tent at the Kenya National Theatre grounds opposite Norfolk Hotel along Harry Thuku road adjacent to University of Nairobi and Kenya Broadcasting Corporation within Nairobi city center.

Word has it out there that the Once Upon A Time and the Long long time ago art of verbal Storytelling has been on the decline. It is also being said that currently, a widespread revival has been going on. Storytellers are presenting performances in many places across the world. They are performing to all kinds of audiences in diverse venues restaurants, theatre auditoriums, libraries, school halls, assembly grounds, classrooms, public libraries, squares, festivals, street sidewalks, camps and even company boardrooms.
This February, Zamaleo welcomed Fabula Storytelling Company of Stockholm, Sweden in Nairobi for an eventful 7 days exchange-working visit. The team comprised of 3 leading Scandinavian Storytellers and a Consultant Creative Manager. The Fabula storytellers were Ida Junker, Mats Rehnman and Peter. The team's creative manager Mr. Christer Flodin had preceded the tellers to work closer with Zamaleo on future planning assignments.
Zamaleo Sigana Storytelling duo of Ms. Alumbe Namai and Mr. Joel Otukho sucessfully carried out a performance tour of Swedish city of Stockholm and Ljungby Village (June 6-17, 2009). In Stockholm they conducted Storytelling Master Workshops and presented special performance nights featuring Kenyan tales.
In October 2010 Zamaleo Sigana Storytellers team of Alumbe Namai, Githanda Githae and Wangari Grace joined a host of other international storytellers in Sweden. The tour started with storytellingworkshops at the Olan Theatre School and the Dalarna Performance Workshop. The tour culminated with performances in the annual Fabula Storytelling Festival held in the Swedish capital city of Stockholm.
